Nature’s Sunshine Spleen Activator, stock number 1880, is being discontinued. Its recommended replacement is Spleen Activator TCM Concentrate, stock number 1070.
This is a fairly straightforward switch: Nature’s Sunshine uses the same blend of Traditional Chinese herbs for digestion, but in a highly concentrated form. The main benefit is fewer capsules to swallow while continuing with the herbal combination you’re familiar with.
What stays the same?
Both formulas contain the same combination of herbs, including ginseng, astragalus, citrus peel, ginger, and licorice. The blend is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and is traditionally used to support digestion.
So if you chose Spleen Activator for its particular herbal blend, the replacement keeps that blend rather than moving you to an entirely different formula.
How many capsules do I take?
This is the biggest practical difference. The original Spleen Activator directions were two capsules with a meal three times daily—six capsules a day.
The directions for Spleen Activator TCM Concentrate are one capsule with a meal daily. Its 30-capsule bottle therefore provides a 30-day supply when used as directed.
Because the replacement is concentrated, follow the new bottle’s directions rather than continuing your old capsule count.
