Nature’s Sunshine Valerian Root (stock number 720) is being discontinued. If you’ve been using it to wind down before bed, Nature’s Sunshine recommends Valerian Root Extract Time-Release, stock number 721, as its replacement.
What changes with the replacement?
Valerian has a long history of traditional use for calming the nerves and supporting restful sleep. The replacement keeps valerian as its main ingredient, but uses a concentrated extract in a time-release tablet instead of the original root capsules.
The idea is to provide that familiar relaxing support while releasing the valerian gradually.
What’s in the time-release formula?
Valerian Root Extract Time-Release contains a concentrated valerian root extract standardized to 0.8% valerenic acids. Standardized means the extract provides a consistent level of these naturally occurring compounds.
If you chose the original Valerian Root for calm and sleep support, Valerian Root Extract Time-Release (60 tablets) is the manufacturer’s recommended next option. Because it’s a concentrated extract, follow its own directions rather than using your old capsule count.
How to take it
Nature’s Sunshine recommends taking 1–2 tablets one hour before bedtime. Follow the current bottle label for full directions.
